When a pastor condemns what God regulates, imputes motives God never names, and binds where Scripture is silent, he steps beyond interpretation into injustice. Adding sin where YHWH has named no sin is not zeal but presumption. Scripture honours celibacy, monogamy, and polygyny alike—so where God permits, no shepherd may forbid, and where God is silent, no pastor may thunder.

This article reflects on my recent monogamy-only conversion and the theological tensions that emerged as I revisited key biblical texts. It examines the interpretive challenges, doctrinal implications, and scriptural adjustments required to reconcile this conviction with the wider canon, offering an honest account of the struggle to align belief and Scripture.
